Opening Hours: The MFA is open to the public all the year around except holidays. From Saturday to Tuesday, its opening time is at 10 a.m. and closing time is at 4:45 p.m. However, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the Museum opens at 10 a.m. and does not close until 9:45 p.m.

Normally, the Museum of Find Arts would be only closed on some major holidays. That is to say, you could not visit the MFA on New Year's Day (January 1st) and Christmas Day (December 25th). Plus, the Museum would be also closed on the third Monday in April which is known as Patriots' Day and the fourth Thursday in November (Thanksgiving Day). July 4th - the Independence Day is also one of the holidays when the Museum is unavailable.

Free admission is available for all the members of the Museum as well as children aged 6 and under. The price of adult ticket is 20 dollars while it would take 18 dollar for seniors and students to get into the Museum. Kids aging from 7 to 17 are able to enjoy discounts on admission fees. They are welcomed to the Museum on weekends, public school holidays and weekdays after 3 p.m. free of charge. Besides, the ticket price would be only 7.5 dollars when they pay a visit to the Museum on weekdays before 3 p.m.

Students from some area colleges or universities can also enjoy free admission with showing their college photo ID. For people who visit the Museum at Wednesday night after 4 PM, admission is a voluntary contribution.
