Being one of the busiest airports in the United States, the Boston Logan International Airport is a destination of many domestic and international airlines. It also counts as the largest airport in New England and plays host to over 25,000,000 passengers every year. Occupying about 2,384 acres in the East Boston neighborhood of Boston, it has six runways and offers service to destinations worldwide.
Located only 4 miles away from downtown Boston, the Logan Airport is easily accessible by taxis, buses, shuttles and cars. It wouldn't take you much time to drive here. However, before you drive out, be sure to get as more information about parking as possible since lots are highly in demand in this area.
Boston Logan International Airport offers three types of parking options for various passengers. Convenient parking options for passengers who need short-term, extended stay or economy rate are available.
Short-Term Parking The Central Parking Garage is available for short-term parking. It offers easy access to all the terminals and you can reach this parking garage through sidewalks. The Terminal B Garage and the Terminal E lots near their corresponding terminals are also good options for short-term parking.
The rate for parking in the Central Parking Garage, the Terminal B Garage and the Terminal E lots is the same. Parking within an hour would be charged 6 dollars and the parking fee for two hours is 12 dollars. After that, each additional hour would cost you 3 more dollars.
NOTE: Although the Central Parking Garage is situated between terminals and linked to all the terminals by pedestrian, it might turn out to be a long walk to your terminal if you park in the wrong section. It's strongly recommended to follow parking signs to park near your terminal.
Extended Stay Both the Central Parking Garage and the Terminal B Garage are available for extended stay. Long-term parking in the Terminal E lots is also acceptable. However, extended stay would be charged much less than short-term parking.
The regular parking rate of parking garages or parking lots mentioned above is 24 dollars per day. If you would leave your vehicle at the airport for more than 6 hours, the extended stay is more economical for you.
Economy Rate To save on parking fees, you're suggested to park in Economy Parking Lot from where you can take free shuttle buses to get to the Airport. The first hour for parking in Economy Lot would cost you 6 dollars as well. And the parking rate for parking two hours is just 1 dollar less than other garages provided by the Airport. But you should know that it only takes you 13 dollars to park here for 3 hours and 16 dollars for 4 hours.
Plus, daily rate of the Economy Lot is 18 dollars. For those who drive to and from the Airport frequently, the Economy Lot offers special rate for weekly parking. It only costs you 108 dollars to park here seven days a week.
The Central Parking Garage on the 4th level is opened to users with disabilities. For convenience, these people can choose to park near the pedestrian bridge. Over-height vehicles like vans can only park before the main entrance lanes or in the 3rd level of the Terminal B Garage.
