As the second oldest hotel in Boston, the Copley Square Hotel has hosted certain celebrities and their related events, including the election of President William McKinley, the sports legend Babe Ruth and jazz artists Billie Holiday. It was built in 1891, but that doesn't mean it's that old as the hotel had a renovation in 2008. After $18 million makeover, the remodeling property provides lots of attractive amenities, such as the XHALE restaurant, "minibar" (one of the hottest lounges in Boston) and "Saint" (a fabulous nightclub with DJ and dancing). A Wine Down wine reception is offered and wine lovers can enjoy a unique domestic wine in the lobby from 5pm to 6pm each evening. Staying there is also very convenient. This boutique hotel is positioned at the Copley Square and in the heart of the charming Back Bay, and Fenway Park and Boston Common are just within 1 mile, Newbury Street 2 blocks away.

We felt like we were at a home away from home - nicely decorated hotel - perfect urbane vibe - nice decor and comfortable - loved every bit of it - a gem in downtown Boston - a great business crash pad - boutique hotel with historical charm - central and friendly - fabulous hotel, lots of characters - perfect mix of old and new - a slice of Boston history, alive and well
Excellent staff, great location - great staff, great bar and nice rooms - stylish hotel with attentive staff and thoughtful details - great price, and even better service, 50 yards or so from the mall - room was tiny, but cute - amazing stay, intuitive staff, planning a return trip
Free wine - daily wine tasting puts the hotel at the top of my list
