Carnival is a festive season of Roman Catholics, which occurs immediately before Lent. Main events of Carnival are usually held in the month of February. Ken Bonaparte Michelle founded Boston Trinidad style carnival in 1974. The Boston carnival is similar to the carnival of Trinidad with full of fun, colors, exotic costumes and Soca music. However, the major religion of Boston is Protestant, hence the Carnival of Boston is not held in February but the Carnival is celebrated in August.
