Hours of Admission:

The place is open to tourists every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the climbing to the monument stops at around 4.30 p.m. Often due to inclement weather conditions the place may be closed. Admission to the place is free of cost!

The first monument on this site was actually a wooden pillar almost 18 foot long. This was erected here by King Solomon's Lodge of Masons for honoring Dr. Joseph Warren. In the year 1823, a group of established citizens created the Bunker Hill Monument Association in order to construct a monument which would remind Americans of the famous battle with a sense of pride and historical importance. The building of the monument completed during 1842 and there is also a famous exhibit lodge which finished during the nineteenth century. You can also go down to the Bunker Hill Museum while visiting this monument.
