Boston is well known for the number of events and shows that take place in the city each year. These are spectacular events, complete with parades, music and dancing. These draw huge crowds from all over the world. There is Boston travel show that takes place in Boston each year.

Boston Marathon: This is one of the most prestigious and the oldest marathons in the world. The show happens on the third Monday in the month of April. First night festival: Boston is also one of the major cities to conduct the First Night festival. This takes place in the New Year Eve. There is also the Boston Early Music Festival and the The Boston Globe Jazz and Blues Festival that happens around the same time.

During the summer months musical performances are staged at the Bank of America pavilion that is on the South Boston waterfront. There is also the Harborfest which is a week-long festival that celebrates American independence.

Another of the important events in the cultural life of the city is the Independence Day shows. There are fireworks, music and dance that mark the event.

Every year from the month of June to September there are celebrations galore to honor the Roman Catholic saints. The festivities are held in the streets of the city. There are feasts, parades, religious services, live music, games, and entertainment to mark the events.
